Hello my friends! I am well and survived the Hurricane that hit the east coast last weekend. We were without power for 3-1/2 days....not too bad compared to most! Lots of wind and rain and the garden took a little beating. Here is a photo I took right before the storm. The wind circled around in this back corner of my garden but other than broken flower stems and tons of leaves stripped off the trees, it survived quite well.

I miss all of you but can't seem to find the time to be a "regular" here. I didn't realize that I have been gone from flickr for so long! I hope you are all well and have not forgotten me. If you were a victim of Irene, I hope you made it through OK. Take care and enjoy the upcoming fall weather. ~gng

I hope all of my flickr friends who are moms enjoyed today! The weather here was sunny and nice. A great day spent with my mom, sister, brother, and my hubby and sons.

I've been busy tearing apart sections of my garden and overhauling the design elements. I'm bored with it and looking for new ideas. I'm also going to get my vegetable garden this year!! Can't wait to pick some fresh tomatoes, peas, squash, and lettuce!!

I am officially on spring break and looking forward to having a week to do whatever I please. Maybe a short trip in the middle of the week to visit the ocean if I am lucky. :-)

I will also try to take a selfie tomorrow when I have the house to myself. It's been a while and I need to come up with something fun or creative. Lot's of ideas but zero gumption.

Winter in New England was way too long this year.....thank God it is finally spring!

52 Weeks: Week 9 (Year 3)

I guess I am failing at my commitment to post a self portrait each week. I am two (or three) weeks behind at this time. I haven't been in the mood to take photos lately and when I do take my photo, I'm not happy with it. I'm feeling uninspired so here is a face shot. Work and life have me busy so I find very little time or energy for playing on flickr these days.

I do think of all of you and hope everyone is doing fine and enjoying the spring weather! We had a few snow flurries lately but the snow melts by the following day so that's a good thing! I'm looking forward to school vacation on April 18th - a whole week to be lazy and not race around like crazy! So divine.

I will try to make my rounds to say hello to all of you!
