Ricciolina : Dans la commedia dell'arte, Ricciolina est une femme de chambre qui n'a pas la langue dans sa poche, pleine d'énergie, indépendante, sans concessions pour ceux de la "haute" qui l'emploient. Elle n'hésite pas à se servir des hommes pour parvenir à ses fins. Bien éloignée de la Colombine de carte postale de nos enfances, Ricciolina a le cœur qui balance entre Arlecchino, le bouffon menteur et paresseux, et Pedrolino, le naïf amoureux.

Pedrolino : L'ancêtre de Pierrot est distrait, peureux, il tombe facilement amoureux des soubrettes. Désinvolte, c'est un gros farceur qui aime se déguiser, tout particulièrement en femme. Il pleure beaucoup, il mange beaucoup… Plus il pleure, plus il mange et plus il mange, plus il pleure !

Et si Ricciolina et Pedrolino n'étaient finalement que les deux facettes d'une même androgynie ? Et si cette figure simple pouvait enfin résumer ce qu'est au fond l'amour, entre le soi et l'autre, infiniment mêlés ?
