Gent Sint-Pieters - Platform 8b

Newer Older

I recommend watching the HD version here!

Went to the main station in Ghent for a small time-lapse video. I took 1090 photos, one every 3 seconds, so that's about one hour of platform life you see. Then I turned them into this movie with 15 photos per second. Check the setup here. Had to stop early because there weren't any trains for about 40 mins on that platform :(

Time-lapse is fun! The green hoody guy at the end and start is me :) The shadows on the floor are mine too, whoops! If you look close enough you can see the clock changing! But it's a bit bright.

Taken with my Canon EOS 400D (flickr seriously messed up the quality)
Music: Neo - Régi Ismerõs.
From the soundtrack of one of my favorite movies Kontroll.

What a great video! No one wondered why a camera has been on the ground for so long...?

They sure did, especially some station employer who walked past a few times. Ah well, my excuse is that I might look like a photography student, so then I can pull it off hehe ;)

    Great work!
I like your music choice too, it fits the setting.
My favorite part about this is the clock detail.

Wish it was less bright though!

Hmm, flickr messed up the quality of my video. Here's a comparison of the flickr video and the original .mov file at the bottom:

The bottom one seems to be a bit bright, and has some weird things going on in the dark areas, but still, it's nicer than the flickr version :(

Superb work my friend.....I loved it all (=:

& yes I agree with you on the video comparison, bottom one is quite better than other one, as I can see the SHARP image of the train.

    Keep it Up ;O)

    Thanks! It's a shame there's a difference!

Mooi gedaan hoor! Ga ik ook nog eens met experimenteren.

Wat ik wel bedenk, met de 400D (ik heb een 450D) kan je toch geen automatische timelapse doen? Tenzij je een computer bij de hand hebt.

Bedankt! Ja die had ik bij me :)
Check de HD versie hier met onderaan in de comments de sneaky setup!
