The setup and choice of lighting to compliment the environment is exceptional. It is made stronger by pairing a simple, but dramatic, lighting with similar cloud structure against her low-key design dress and frank, distracted, pose.
It is an incredible pleasure to see someone choose to play down the typical fanfare and allow the moment, and exceptional beauty, to carry itself.
This image exudes taste and tact, it demonstrates skill and competence, it is an honest, timeless and viscerally real portrait. Your client should be blown away and recognize the value in choosing you for their important day.
On a technical/compositional note, the choice of masking the horizon with the rail was a good one. I perceive it had a practical reason regarding exposure, but it also has a side-effect of allowing the small amm't of colour to pass while reducing the distraction.
A fabulous recovery, too, for what otherwise is oft deemed a write-off day to shoot. All in, I have to join the chorus above and say: Bravo!
