    They really are practically see through.
    Lol, no. I was practically laying down when I shot this and the last 5:1 ant shot. I had the lens balanced on top of my left fore arm and focussed by pushing the camera forward with my head.

    The MP-E really takes a lot of practice to get used to. I'm sure your keep to discard ratio will improve with time :)
