This rose is the full picture of the rose in the close-up version I took last month. I love this rose but after the first few flowerings, it produces no more flowers until the next year. The others carry on blooming until October, November but not this one.

I love this monumental cemetery angel from the St. Peter and St. Paul parish church at Great Missenden. It is a very difficult one to photograph because it stands on an eight foot plinth above a grave and the head of the angel must reach about fifteen feet from the ground. It is also on a very steep incline facing downhill. The whole of the hill is covered with brambles and nettles etc and is very photographer unfriendly. Do you see the difficulty yet? To photograph the face you need to point the camera upwards and it nearly always results in a dark angel with loss of detail. I have taken shots of this many, many times and I think this is probably the best I am ever likely to get with my little digital camera - so here it is. She is pointing upwards to show everyone that the deceased has definitely gone to the right place.

I put this as a title because I cannot for the life of me remember where I took this picture. Suffice it to say that it was in a South Bucks church. I really must make a note of where I take pictures. You think you will be able to remember but that is not always the case after a few months and a thousand more photos have passed by.

I haven't posted a stained glass window for a while so I thought this was a lovely one to post now.

Another spring shot of the path around the moats at Berkhamsted Castle. So many photographs - so little time. Lots of cow parsley around on this shot.
