Gold Hunter Stikes It Rich, San Diego

Gold Hunter Stikes It Rich, San Diego

Well maybe he didn't find Spanish gold but this metal sweeper may have found a dime or nickel and he was at the beach during a glorious sunet and that is always golden in my opinion.

Oscar Award Time, What Movie gets your vote?

Oscar Award Time, What Movie gets your vote?

If you didn't get an oscar nomination and I think everybody deserves to put on a gown or tux and walk a red carpet then get on down to Hollywood and buy your own award for a mere $3.99 plus tax. I love the movies but the award ceremonies are a bit silly, redundant and usaully boring. My favorites this year were The Artists, Tree of Life and Bridesmaids. Some of my all time favorites include West Side Story, Amedeus, Titanic, Lillies of the Field, Annie Hall, and Glory. Im sure I left out a bush how about you. My wife deserses an Oscar of course. This year they need one for best performance by a dog. So don't wait to get your nomination just buy your trinket and then go out and dress up in your lowest cut evening gown. Show the world your cleavage and your sexiest smile and let a little glamour into your life. That's showbiz. What are some of your favorite movies?

Guitar Man

Guitar Man

A song for the ocean sometimes the best music is simply sitting quietly and playing for the universe and letting the sound connect you with your soul and the feeling of being one with the music and this time and place. This gentleman was sitting overlooking the waves on the beach . He kindly gave me permission to take this picture.

Crows Winter Roost

Crows Winter Roost

At the local park I hike in the crows love to assemble as a large group just before sunset they fly in and find a few special trees sometimes they spend a few minutes and then head out to another spot. I love seeing them gather and hear them make there bird call. They are gathering to roost, crows will congregate in some area away from the final roosting site, usually an hour or two before complete darkness. Here the crows spend a lot of time calling, chasing, and fighting. Right at dark the main body of the group will move toward the final roosting spot. Sometimes this final movement is relatively quiet, but usually it is still quite noisy. They congregate in different areas, heading to one final staging area where they all coalesce, then everyone heads to the final roost. The final roost can be a cohesive group in a single woodlot, or it can be rather diffusely spread out over quite a wide area of suitable trees. its a survival strategy which brings on the old saying birds of a feather flock together.
Somtimes this grouping is called a murder of crows.

Winter Palace , Schonbrunn, Vienna, Austria

Winter Palace , Schonbrunn, Vienna, Austria

With 1441 rooms to heat the bills to keep the Schonburnn palace warm and cozy for the Habsburg princess might be a bit costly. Not to worry they could always raise taxes on the peasants, just like the rich do now. A great attraction to visit and learn some history .The palace is about four city blocks long with gardens, a zoo and much more. This was built as a summer palace and the last Emporer Franz Joeseph live here for 68 years from birth to death. Personally two bedrooms is about all I need to keep me happy and sometimes less then that.
