Another vintage Vivitar - the 400mm f/5.6 T mount. This one needs to be disassembled and cleaned before I can shoot with it but no mechanical problems.

100x magnification of cellulose pellicle grown by gluconacetobacter xylinus bacteria. To shoot this I held my phone camera up to the microscope eyepiece. How's that for DIY bio-engineering? For more see the Dallas Makerspace page about the project: Microbial Cellulose Fabric.
