The scene at Thirroul (a northern suburb of Wollongong) taken from the Gateway lookout at Bulli Tops. It's a pretty scene. Now for the trains: If you look closely, you will see CA64 coal passing a local Tangara set refuged between runs. A pair of 81s is in the up goods, I think they were on a work train (memory has gone hazy).

Bargo station, and 8222 is pushing hard on the rear of TM72 coal from Tahmoor (generically know as "the Tahmoor"). 8218 is at the leading end. From the time they leave Tahmoor, the two 82s run at full power ("8 notch") for about 100 minutes, covering about 40 km (25 miles) while lifting the 4500 tonne train up the nominally 1 in 75 grades. With curve resistance included, it equals a compensated ruling grade of 1 in 67 (1.5%).

Simmering 3642 is parked outside "the Large" shed at Eveleigh, a convenient overnight from which to start local heritage runs the following day. An Endeavour railcar looks out of place behind it.

Triple 44 class, all no. 2 end leading, pose in the golden hour with the Channel 7 building as a backdrop.

Sorry about the background masts messing up the view at the front of the engine. There was no better view and I don't believe in editing out infrastructure that is really there (it's all part of the rail scene).
A jet airliner is on final approach in the background. When 3642 was built, biplanes were still state of the art!
