Break that barrier.

Break that barrier.

And fly into the blue...

Kamikaze by D'espairsRay.

I was originally planning for a different photo to announce the eve of my departure to Japan, but this week's been so hectic- What with all of the packing and preparation around the house, I just haven't had the time.

But I guess this'll do. :)

So, I'll be going in the (Early) morning. See y'all in a month's time! :)

Oh, there might be the odd chance when I find an internet café or something where I can update.

Well, until then...

See ya! :)

Like Molten Gold.

Like Molten Gold.

Maybe Tomorrow, by the Stereophonics.

I know, the Photo's a little dark around the edges, but I think it actually adds to the "Metallic liquid" feel of the sea in the shot. But, if you want a little more black...

Notice how the cloud in the upper right looks like a Pterodactyl. ;)

So today, for me, and many other schools in the region, school's out for the summer! :) Well, now it's time to kick back and relax, maybe study a bit too (I've got holiday homework for my Art classes next year), oh, and definitely taking photos! (Exactly 7 days 'till Japan, I can't wait! :D)

If anyone's interested to know, next year will be the start of my
GCSEs, and I will be studying Art, Graphic design and German as my chosen subjects.

I've just noticed, in my Exif data, it seems that my DSLR shots seem to be tagged with my dad's name- Whoops, gotta fix that somehow... : \

At the edge of the New Horizon.

At the edge of the New Horizon.

Gosh... Wasn't expecting that the last part of school term this year would also be the busiest! Well, I'm back... At least for now. ;)

So, this was from a trip to the cliffs of Sussex- Some wonderful views from there! Although I had to keep my distance from the edge, apparently the tide erodes roughly about a metre off the cliff a year! So, some more shots coming up soon. :)

Horizon, by D'espairsRay. Absolutely loving this song, I seem to like J-Rock quite a lot (Guess it's down to my Japanese roots.) Actually, somehow, this song inspired the editing for this shot.

Oh! And talking about Japan, I'll be going there by the 24th, so I'll be away for another month, but I'll promise to take loads of photos, OK? :)

Staying positive! :)

Expanse.

Expanse.

To Zanarkand, Part of the Final Fantasy X soundtrack.

To be honest, I think this song's actually a bit too beautiful for such a landscape like this. Still, somehow, it makes me imagine what an ideal image of this could be; Lush rolling fields of gold, swaying in a gentle breeze, whilst a farmer peacefully labours in the valley. Perhaps you can somehow feel the spirit of that here...

Yikes! Has 5 days passed already? Sorry, just after my tests had finished, my parents had made a sudden decision to go and visit my grandparents near Wales (Of course, some of you might have guessed already this is where the shot was taken). Well, anyway, I'm on a week's holiday now, I'm still kinda busy, but I'll hopefully try to catch up with you guys. :)

Adrenaline.

Adrenaline.

I'm back! :)

The exams weren't actually that bad, I guess. I'm just hoping that I get good enough marks to keep up my high standards, ensure that I still stay in the higher ability classes, and push myself even further. Fingers crossed. :)

So, about this shot... Well, you know in those Hollywood style action movies, just before an explosion goes off, you get that sort of split-second's distortion to show the force of it all before it really blows you away. Needless to say, I tried to emulate that here.

Ready Steady Go by Paul Oakenfold. Really good music for a chase scene, I thought it might be good for catching the "Adrenaline" of the shot. Though you may need a bit of imagination to make it work, without a proper motion video to go with it, the song can feel strangely empty...
