Got up early one day and took this picture at one of the parks. I like the one-legged silhouette of the Great Blue Heron standing on the nest.

I think that's what this Roseate Spoonbill is doing by lifting one leg and one wing at the same time or he may just be trying to keep his balance.

I was fortunate enough to be at a place observing this Common Gallinule when the bird decided to fly toward shore.

The new official name of the Common Moorhen species in the U.S. is Common Gallinule.

This American Coot was sitting in the miidle of the pond with its mate when out of the blue, it took off like it was running for its life. The mate followed shortly. I was lucky to be where I was and be able to take the bird in action and with the reflection.
