Caught my eye in a lineup to cross the border on our way down to CA. We waited 3 hours and still weren't even halfway. Turned around and had a bite to eat and tried another border which took us only 45min. Not impressed! Apparently, the border guard went home with the flu leaving 2 guards on a long weekend. :o(

On our way back home we traveled through Oregon again. We hit up our favourite little hotel along the beach here in Newport. After dinner we took this little pathway down to have a stroll along the beach and work off dinner.

This place was built in 1885 and was the former home of a pioneer lumberman named, William Carson.
If my memory serves me right it was located in the small town of Eureka. We found we felt very uneasy there for some reason and high-tailed it out of there as soon as we could. This house however, captured our attention with it's impressive structure and detail. I thought the overall appearance of this place speaks to the eerie feeling we got from being there.

Another shot from our hotel suite. The rocks below and surrounding area make up a natural habitat for the aquarium located next to us where they had sea otters swiming around in and sea lions lounging around.
Love the colour, sailboats in the distance, the rocks and their texture and the ripples in the water.

This was taken from our balcony at the Monterey Plaza Hotel, umm...can you say, spoiled?! We couldn't sleep that night because we had our windows and patio doors wide open all night and all we heard were the seagulls and sealions, it was so beautiful!
