      i've used the same cake recipe for years - based on smitten kitchen's best yellow cake recipe i've modified it by reducing sugar, using part spelt flour, adding natural rainbow food colorings, layering it with ganache filling, raspberry and strawberry coulis, various icings (my favorite being a reduced sugar cream cheese frosting)... i guess i don't really have an exact recipe. check smitten kitchen and do not hesitate to skimp on the sugar.

      sweet right? last year was 7 rainbow layers, this year 8 rings...i wonder what we'll do for 9...?
