It's still raining. A lot. *sigh*

On the evening of December 27, 2011 a fire broke out in a gated apartment complex not far from our place.

I heard sirens and things, but didn't know any more till the following day.

A woman injured in the fire has since been charged with murder and arson in relation to the incident.

The current server, NAS, and "core" networking collection.

- Xeon x3450, 6GB/8.25 TB Windows Home Server 2011
- Pentium G6950, 8GB/0.75TB Centos 6.2.

Also a Quad-core AMD 16GB/8.25TB (Centos 5.x - about to get bumped to 6.2 & act as a VM hosting environment) as well as a couple of 2TB NAS (one Linksys, the other D-LINK), router/fiewall, cable modem, GB switch, etc.

It works (for various values of "works" at various times), and stores media and photo backups and things that we pipe around the house on both wired and wireless networks.

And the people didst rejoice and say verily "Oh goodonya, mate. It's about time it stopped bloody rainin'".

And there was much rejoicing about the land and a great public holiday was had with cockroach racing and thong throwing and cow pat hurling.

And She looked upon it and saw that it was good (except for the bit about being attacked by loony aboriginals at lunch).

Rained all night, and was is still going. Plenty of localised flooding, but nothing like last year - thankfully.
