Missy has a sister!

    Newer Older

Missy's the one on the left, and she's the first one I met. These two were in different kennels. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but they are happy together here. Unless they're going to be adopted together, though, the animal care manager at the shelter says it's better if they're separated so they learn to bond with other dogs, and not only with each other. They are definitely bonded. When I left they were sleeping together in a mini-dogpile! Maybe they will be adopted together (I wish, I wish, I wish).

We adopted Indie. Missy was adopted, returned a few months later and going to be euthanized. The director took her off the euthanasia list for me; I took her home for the afternoon, out to Petsmart that evening, and she was adopted again, this time by a family in whom I have confidence, before the end of the evening. She wasn't even back in the shelter for a whole day. I called the new family a couple days later, just to see how she was doing, and all was well.

These two look like sweethearts. My own dog Chick and I thank you for the awesome advocacy work you do for pit bulls!

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called ROTTS AND OTHER DOGS ("ANGELS") FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

      They really look like sisters!
