Grinder Timer- Electric City Roasting
This gadget, in use by both Northern Lights and Electric City, is a cost effective timer with two outlets. This one is running a Robur on the left, and a Super Jolly on the right.

Where does one get such a thing? seems like with a fast(ish) grinder like the robur that you might want a more accurate than seconds grinder.

My guess is that you get it from a chemical equipment supply company.
I may prefer this set up (seconds timer with stepless grinder) over the Anfim set up (stepless timer with stepped grinder).
However, I do believe that an experienced Barista who understands the equipment they use and the coffee they are brewing can achieve their desired results no matter what the set up.

I agree that either ought to work. But, I actually have my own Super Jolly, and I'm thinking of adding a Robur for Christmas, and I am not ready to drop an extra grand on the doserless Robur. A good, accurate timer would be good. If it only reads seconds, that's not a problem--the question would be, can it dose accurately shot-to shot. Hopefully it does. Sounds like a worthwhile tool to reduce waste and increase consistency in dosing.

Oh, man. I need a couple of those.
Thanks for the observant shooting, Phil!

Sweet, Gimme! Brooklyn has been rocking that same timer for years, and swear by it!

That must be how it infiltrated Scranton, since Northern Lights uses Gimme! coffee.

I had a bunch of those... Waring appliance timers. Schomer used to have those back a few years ago too.
