How not to use gratuitous foreign words in a book set in a foreign country
Not using the translation of "fly", the verb, rather than "fly", the noun, would be a good start.
Daniel Allen Cox, Kraków Melt. Among other fails (declension is difficult), it also swapped ż for ź and vice versa in a couple of words, used truly weird acute accent symbol placement on consonants, and what seemed to be cedillas instead of ogoneks.
