Trying out the "open office" concept

Trying out the "open office" concept

I started using a standing desk after reading these:
opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/02/23/stand-up-while-y...

www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/10_19/b417707122116...

www.sciencedaily.com/videos/2008/0610-stand_up_for_your_h...

abcnews.go.com/Technology/DyeHard/story?id=3922069&pa...

mashable.com/2011/05/09/sitting-down-infographic/

The portability is an added bonus. There are more options for a change of scenery when you don't have to lug around an office chair. Couldn't ask for better ventilation!

The believer sings...

The believer sings...

A saying from Sh. Abdal Hakim Murad's Contentions series. One of my favorites in this amazing series of 1000+ aphorisms is "True religion invites us to become better people. False religion tells us that this has already occurred." but I chose this one which fits better on the iPod both physically and thematically. Plus, it's something to meditate on-- the limits of rationality, the palpable yet inexplicable quality of transcendent beauty.

A biography of the learned British sheikh is available on Wikipedia, under his English name.

Digital Dhikr (Remembrance)

Digital Dhikr (Remembrance)

Quoted from the Qur'an (13:28). My grandmother listens to it continuously. :-)
