This is the Boise City, Oklahoma tornadic storm of 2010. The same storm that spawned at least two tornados, known as the Campo, CO twisters. At the moment that this photo was shot (actually three photos stitched together) the first tornado had just dissipated and the second one was just starting to organize itself beneath the mothership structure on the left hand portion of the frame.
I really like how this image gives the viewer the impression of what I experienced while standing under the mesocyclonic action. The feeling of being an ant under tremendous revolving heavy thick skies. The power of the weather and the beauty associated with severe weather events was a goal of mine as for what sort of imagery I wanted to come away with.
That said, this was everything I hoped to find while out on my short five day storm chase two years ago.
