suitcase snapshots
|
I bought a suitcase full of old photos
at a flea market last year. Most of them
are from the late 1930s through the
early '50s, and are of a family living
in the suburbs of Washington, D.C.
I'm in the process of adding the handwritten notes from the backs of some photos, which should provide a little more biographical information about this family. There are also about thirty little wire-bound booklets of photos, not yet scanned.
Updated 2/2/07: Finally done with the loose photos! All 484 are here. Now, if anyone has any suggestions on how to scan the rest without damaging the photos or the booklets they're in, I can get cracking on them.
Updated 7/16/10: I found a family member! I'm giving the photos back; this means I won't get to scan all of them, which is a shame, but she's really excited to have them back.
