Photobooth: Anonymous Young Woman With A Great Smile And A Daisy Corsage
My mother, God love her, stiffed this country boy fellow named Teeter and went to the prom with some other, no doubt blander, more conservative, ultimately boring, and now long forgotten male individual. Maybe he had a car and Teeter didn't.
Teeter, who must have been quite entertaining, showed up at the house before she went out and presented her with a corsage box. Inside, she found, tied with a pink ribbon, a bunch of green onions.
If I ask her if that story is in her book (she has been writing it for years now), she'll say "There's just not room for everything," her standard repy to my standard question, after she tells me another one of her wonderful (spoken) stories.
