This is a wonderful combination. Are those bergenia leaves in the foreground? I love the way the Variegated spikes (flax?) turn red at the top half, tying in to the red building. I really like this photo.

the leaves in the foreground are of a ligularia. they're looking so nice right now. all fresh and new.
behind the ligularia is a yucca, and then the red is indeed a flax (phormium 'guardsman').
