Here it is all finished!
I really love how it turned out and it used up about 1/3 of my scraps. I love just looking at all the fabrics in it. Some are from quilts I made almost 20 years ago and some from the more recent quilts.
As of 8-2008 this is my most faved photo and the most popular. Thanks!
Finished on March 6, 2008 quilted on my Grandquilter on the Inspira frame. Quilter's Dream Request Batting 93 X 93 with a 2 1/2 inch meander pantograph, had 4 1/2 inches left on the frame.

Beautiful work! It's fun going down memory lane a bit in a scrap quilt isn't it?

A great scrap quilt. Love the little nine-patch setting squares.

I like this a lot -- it uses lots of small scraps while still having a strong overall structure.

Isn't it funny how fabrics become associated with the quilts you once made so every scrap you use feels like you are putting a piece of that old quilt into your new quilt. The other quilts must be beautiful as this one most definitely is. This is really a great quilt the little nine patches really do add a lot.

Really marvellous - love the huge range of colours that still blend perfectly.

Simply gorgeous! I've just recently started quilting. Maybe someday I'll have enough scraps to attempt such a monumental project as this. It's lovely.

Thanks for all the kind comments. I almost didn't put the little 3 inch nine patches in, realizing it would add to the time involved. But over the years of quilts I have also realized that a it is exactly that touch that often makes a quilt. It was what drew me to the original one.

Thanks everyone,
Joyce, did you notice that the one I originally saw and copied this from was also a quilter named Joyce? What fun!

This is wonderful. Nice use of the scrappy fabrics and colors.

Thanks. I have it on my bed now. It is a bit heavy because of the foundation fabric added weight to each block and lots of thread with all the little strips. Dec-Feb are our coldest months so I guess it will be used then.

This is my favorite quilt I have made and the most viewed of my photos on flickr. That amazes me as quilts don't photograph as nicely as they look in person, and I think I have much nicer photos of gardens here!

Absolutely stunning with that sashng! Can you share with me the size of your squares and the width of your sashing. I did my sashng too wide and it sure makes a big difference. I will have to save my 'new' scraps for one like yours!

oops...sorry Joyce. I see I asked this question prematurely as I realize you have already mentioned the sashing size above....

I graphed out the pattern from the photo I took in AZ. I must have added incorrectly somewhere and this one grew too large to add the piano key border that was on my inspiration. ; ) This is still my most faved photo.
