365 (not the end)

i will not pay penance for things that i haven't done
i grew up too early or too late
depending on who you are
it all lies in how you see me
if you see me
if you choose to understand
there was a lot of death mixed with life
all at the same time
all swirling around like clouds
all gathering wind
and cracks of lightning didn't touch me from the outside
because faulty electricity tried to burn me from
the inside out
and here i am
again and again
