In my days of fearing heights (which was most
of my life), I used to have a recurring
nightmare of driving alone at high speed on a
bridge that gets narrower and narrower until
I am the only one trapped in single lane,
barriers on either side, unable to turn
around, unable to slow down...and then it
just ends - no more pavement, and I'm
free-falling.
This image instantly reminded me of that
irrational fear - one that I have since
conquered. And for that very reason, I am
faving this shot (not to mention it's a
fantastic shot, too).
