a really tiny sample. in fact, it was a bit too small to get a real feel for blackwork. but at least I know now that i'd like to learn it more in-depth!

sampling :: silk shading

a.k.a long & short stitch. the leaves are to be done in couching stitch using silver metallic thread. i'm not quite satisfied with how that looks though...

spring cleaning

would anyone be interested in helping me destash these japanese cotton print fabrics...?

i once collected cute prints, but realized that i prefer to use plain fabrics for my own projects. a few of them are leftovers from things i've made. some have been washed once, others are straight off the bolt. for details, please check out this blog post.

(i think i have cute japanese ribbons i don't need too, if there is interest.)
