Realy tanks for the comments and invites. This was my first nightshot work with the new very small and cheap 154 bucks Nikon Coolpix P50 using a light tripod and standard fireworks mode. People who needs a not so small but very sturdy, portable and capable camera have to consider this option. Very fast continuous or manual autofocus, 28-105 mm lens - that is what was absent on small cameras, up to two faces recon, a lot of pre-prog modes, plus full manual and set for alkaline, NIMH, and LiOn batteries to regulate system operating voltage. I'm not sponsored by NIkon, please, I was a Fujji user for years.
The camera took 138 pics in a 20 minute fireworks shows whithout a flaw. But this litle P50 is now in my heart and my pocket everywhere.
Have a great 2008 full of good action to shoot, for all.
