I enjoyed taking pictures of these tulips today. The snow is slowly, but surely melting and the scents of spring are in the air.

I love these plants and am trying to keep two of them alive over the winter. They are carnivorous plants, eating bugs, spiders and moths. There was a blue pot sitting behind this pitcher plant. I took this picture last summer.

I love the trumpet-shaped flowers of this vine. It's one of my favourite vines. (From summer 2009)

A pot of hyacinths sits on my dining room table, scenting the house with spring. It may be freezing out and snowing, but that doesn't stop me from thinking spring's arrived.

At this time of year, it is wonderful to have photos to look at reminding one that there is a garden hidden under all this snow. Even if the petals are a little tattered, they are still beautiful to me.
