Saqsaywaman is a walled complex on the northern outskirts of the city of Cusco, Peru, the former capital of the Inca Empire. The complex is as many other Inca constructions made of large polished dry-stone walls, each boulder carefully cut to fit together tightly without mortar.

O mais impressionante são esses paredões com rochas pesando toneladas e encaixadas perfeitamente. Provavelmente era algum santuário e hoje é utilizado para realizar o Inti Raymi, uma grande festa em homenagem ao sol. Talvez seja o maior festa do país e acontece agora no mês de junho, dia 24. Se você estiver planejando uma viagem pra essa época, a cidade fica cheia, se prepare.
