Last Tuesday was one of the few days in the last few weeks with a decent sunny day. I took the opportunity for some Autumn colours shots. This is a beautiful location where a footpath goes from the village of Halnaker near Chichester, UK up to Halnaker Mill on the Sussex Downs.
Taken with a Sony A700 with a Sigma 28-200 Zoom at 135mm. Taken with a Tripod with auto bracketing for HDR. 3 raw images 2EV spacing. Opened in Photoshop first and each image noise reduced with Noiseware Pro and saved as tiffs.
Outputted in Photomatix to detail enhancer. Click the Camera name top right for the Exif information and details of the settings used.
The -2EV original image was copied and pasted as a new layer with a black layer mask. A brush was then used to show the layer in the area at the end of the tunnel to darken the highlights.
General adjustments in levels and curves to enhance with layer masks to exclude the highlights.
Saturation Adjustment Layer, yellows used to increase saturation in some areas of the foliage and path.
Second Saturation Adjustment Layer master to slightly reduce overall saturation.
Warming Photo Filter adjustment layer
Unsharp Mask a little sharpening low radius and higher amount.
Duplicate layer with mask to apply extra sharpening and contrast with low amount and high radius (Clarity Effect) to the foreground and nearer trees.
