Nice shot, Frank. And a fun use of the wide lens.

You know there is a Three Sisters' Bridge in Washington DC. I was always wondering who those three sisters were. Thank you for clarifying that question for me.

    Awesome shot!

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the visit!

Ikasam, Somehow I doubt that bridge was named after these three ;-)

Not exactly a bad photo, in its way, perhaps - but it's got Flickr-interestingness aspirations written all over it. The shadows on the cow's faces are a fatal flaw.

Ever scene a herd of cows after they foraged on a crop of psylocybin mushrooms? 8-) I adore cows. These ones could have done with a spot of fill flash though.

funny. the shadows on their faces make them look a little demonic, or maybe thats just my own interpretation.

    @BF & PSA:

"Not exactly a bad photo, in its way, perhaps - but it's got Flickr-interestingness aspirations written all over it."

    Wow.

That is the most brilliant flat out slam I've seen yet on DMU.

Fantastic... mild praise of a photo coupled with wickedly understated criticism of the photographer's intentions and desires.

    I bow to you PSA.

    Save23

(I like the shot anyway BF.)

To be fair to young Frank here, he showed me his cows prior to posting it.

I suggested that he upload it to Flickr as it was ripe for whoring.

Thanks everyone. Yes the cows do have some hard shadow on their faces. A tragic flaw to an otherwise fun picture. I would have liked to use fill flash here, but they were *very* close to my camera (a foot) and would probably have not reacted well to a big flash in the face. That and it might have blown out the details.

The correct thing would have been to do this later or earlier in the day, but that couldn't be helped.

At any rate - I'm taking this to the FOLIO.

    such a cool shot.

Which is exactly why fill flash was the way forward ;-) You know all those great images captured in the thick of the otherwise rather primitive and cruel bull runs in Spain? *cackles*

  31. BigFrank (76 months ago | reply)

So you're saying that a full-on stampede would have improved this shot? I guess I would have to agree with you there -- If I lived through the first few moments.

Frank! I've been looking for my sisters for a long time! Where did they turn up at?

    Love your work!

  33. BigFrank (76 months ago | reply)

These were your sisters? I met them at a party. We were all smoking grass and... wait... I was smoking - they were chewing. Hmm.... That didn't strike me as wierd until now for some reason.

    Anyhow, thanks!

I've never seen such a cool picture picked to pieces like this. I see your points and I can see the question asked of themselves when the most critical look at pictures....

No matter how cool this picture is what's not perfect?

I like imperfections. Makes it fit right in here on good ol' planet earth.
