Pretty Bird

    This is a "Lilac-breasted Roller". Supposed to be pretty hard to get a good picture of but once again our luck held and we got all we wanted from about 15-20 ft away.
    Off beanbag with 20D and 100-400mm lens.

      Pretty and amazing! In the large view I noticed a thorn lifting up a bit of the turquoise feathers.
      The DoF is perfect here, with a soft bokeh background. Great shot!

      Wow the delicate bird brave enough to not seem worried about those sharp needles is pretty impressive. Has to make careful landings.
