Swirling Floral Storm

Swirling Floral Storm

All the best festive wishes for the holidays, see you next year!

I have been experimenting with different antique lens styles in my hunt for the elusive swirly bokeh:

This negative was saved from the summer in Switzerland series.
Light leaks courtesy of Swiss Airlines baggage handlers!

Bridge Over River Thames

Bridge Over River Thames

Christmas is approaching faster than a speeding bus rumbling down the road towards the bus-stop which you still might make it to...

Nature Will Prevail

Nature Will Prevail

At the end of the year is upon us already.
I look back & find that I haven't been so active on Flickr, both uploading & looking at other photostreams.
It's been a year of growing... House... Business... Baby... Film cameras...
The analogue workflow is much slower compared to digital. Developing, scanning & dust removal can be tedious. But I'm still loving the process!
These 4x5 negatives are so big I can only scan in halves & then blend together in Photoshop. They look amazing printed up large from the darkroom.

Slow Day At The Office

Slow Day At The Office

Visiting my brother-in-law Simon in South Korea.
Checking out the streetlife wih Eva.
I didnt realise that the rangefinder was out of calibration for the lens on the camera.
The lone chair has become the inadvertant focus of the scene instead of the shopkeeper I'd focused on.
Oh well!

Down A Mountain Track

Down A Mountain Track

Hunting trains in Switzerland during the summer.
Tin-box with my negatives inside crushed by airline baggage handlers.
Major light leaks destroyed many of them, but a couple made it through.
This is a scan of the uncropped negative.
