  • What type of lens is this? - Tracy Clayton
  • EF-S 18-55mm Kit lens

Yeah, Terecico, I wish I had the bucks to buy most of my equipment from Amazon. The price I pay at local shops is always higher, but sometimes I get paid for job in which I need to buy additional equipment to carry it out--such is the case this weekend. However, by shopping locally I do get a chance to sample the product before purchase. And though I could sample the equipment in the store and buy the product online later, I try to patronize local stores, especially if the service is good. Overall, though, Amazon and other good online sellers are definitely the way to go.

Good Kit. I have a 17-85mm IS lens, that's superb... now I'm looking for a telephoto lens.

No nifty 50? You're missing a big, cheap treat.

Merlin, it's on the list, but I'm still trying to get used to fixed lenses. I still can't get a grip on my 85. I keep trying to turn the lens rather than backing up and grabbing the shot.

Looks like a nice little set up :) How do you like the lumiquest bouncer?

  9. Bakari (72 months ago | reply)

You know, I haven't really used it yet. I was going to try it out on wedding shoot I had last Sunday, but I just didn't have the time. I need to test it out at home first. In fact, I just need to take an entire class or workshop on lighting--esp. flash lighting.
