Compton Drive-in

    George Barris not only built great custom cars, he also photographed them for enthusiast magazines of the day. One of his favorite locations was the nearby Compton Drive-in. The drive-in is long gone and the Merc is a fairly recent build but they are brought together here through the magic of Photoshop.

      I'm not sure if that was he drive on on down rosecrans ave.?but if it was I got to enjoy watching shows with my parent and friends. Sadly it is now a car wash:(
