step 1: buy a cheap postcard
step 2: find the spot where the picture was taken
step 3: wonder exactly how long ago the picture was taken considering that large trees weren't in the picture.

well, it was more accident than actual idea, but I'm warming to the crap-ness of old postcards (I blame someone else). Empty streets, pictures of car parks, obscured features, it's like a huge hidden joke.
