    Taken from Janes Island State Park in Maryland, as the park ranger was telling me to take cover.

      Whoa! Very impressive... did it take a couple of tries to capture that shot or did the lightning just happen to strike at that moment?

      dclough--Actually, it was a long exposure (30 seconds), so it was what you are seeing was probably several strikes over the half minute. It did take several tries to get a good shot, however.
