Marian and Vivian Brown the San Francisco Twins

Yes! I finally got a picture of the San Francisco Twins. I've ran into them several times and never had my camera on me. I now keep a point and shoot in my bag all the time.

Marian is on the left Vivian on the right. I chatted with them for a little while after I and two other people took their picture. They told me interesting tidbits like "We didn't go to college to get a Mrs. degree". They taught school for a few years and they're nothing like the Olsen Twins.

    Here's their Wikipedia entry

They were sweet, I think they love the attention.

They definitely look like they are enjoying the attention and also life. Had not ever heard of them and found this interesting.

Hi Jane, the design firm that I work for is doing an invitation for the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and I wondered if you could give me permission to use your photograph of the Brown Twins in our invite. i would definitely credit your full name. Please let me know if this is possible as soon as possible. Best, Kate

This is a brilliant shot. The subject helps - they're as amazing as the Del Rubio triplets - but you really caught them in some special way. I'm gonna be in SF next week, schlepping my camera around in the Tenderloin, but I'd love to make a side trip to the neighborhood where a Brown sisters sighting is most likely. Are you at all willing to reveal the name of said neighborhood?

It's not a secret they live in Nob Hill and walk in the Union Square and Downtown neighborhoods daily. Nob Hill is right next to the Tenderloin.

Oh, BTW looking at you profile pic may I recommend you check out the Tonga Room in Nob Hill.

They often have dinner at Uncle Vito's on Nob Hill. Their usual seat is one of the window seats.

Tonga, Tonga, Tonga - I agree. I always take visitors to the Tonga Room.
