Space Jesus
This is a random thing that showed up on a road we travel sometimes. It's outside a duplex complex. It's like 20 foot tall and we can't figure out the "lightning bolts" as John calls them coming off the heart thing. Maybe it's a Catholic thing????

This is a statue depicting Jesus as the Divine Mercy. It is "a Catholic thing" but you don't have to be Catholic to have a devotion to the Divine Mercy. The rays coming from the heart of Jesus are red on one side and pale on the other. They depict the blood and water that flowed from the heart of Jesus (when His side was pierced by a lance) during the Crucifixion. He appeared to a nun St. Faustina in the 1930's and explained that His Mercy is unfathomable.The picture depicting Jesus as the Divine Mercy also has the inscription "Jesus I trust in You" at the bottom. Jesus told St. Faustina, "On the cross, the fountain of My mercy was opened wide by the lance for all souls---no one have I excluded." The graces of My mercy are drawn by means of one vessel only, and that is --- trust. The more a soul trusts, the more it will receive". Jesus also asked that we do works of mercy for others, and there is a Divine Mercy chaplet that uses the rosary beads to say certain prayers that Jesus taught St. Faustina. Those who say the chaplet for the soul that is dying will receive great mercy for that soul. "I will stand between My Father and the dying person not as the Just Judge, but as the Merciful Savior." "At the hour of their death, I defend as My own glory every soul that will say this Chaplet.;or when others say it for a dying person."
