It's at someone's house! They said they have a million lights and they have gas generators to run them. I asked the guy how they can plug all those lights in and he said there are extension cords all over the yard. I still don't understand how they can plug it all in. The lights are on timers and come on for the night at 2 minute intervals so as to not blow the works. It took 5 guys 5 l/2 weeks to set up the display and this is the 12th and LAST year they are doing it. After this year they want their quiet cul-de-sac back. I'll post more pictures soon.

It's amazing the effort some folks are willing to put in. I'm all for Christmas decorations, but can't quite imagine devoting my all to it. Good capture.

Really nice job on this shot! Great composition.
Forgive me for getting all interpretive, but I like the two trees in the background, one bare, one leafy. It brings a wonderful contrast of an artificial environment to the natural world.
And the snowmen are cute.

Yes! That's what it is! I was trying to think of that to tell the homeowner last night, but I couldn't think of it! All I could think of was Disneyland. Candyland, of course!

you are very welcome! it is not christmas without richards way.
it is a winter wonderland of lights and shapes and christmas. they stopped doing it a few years ago and then came back the following year. once you have this feeling, it is so hard to stop it because you miss it. and the children like me become so disapointed.
and he has spent years collecting the old fashioned christmas decorations discarded from old town displays and private collections. it will be a shame if he stops it now.
