Gustave Flaubert wrote to George Sand... and I should keep that more in mind as well...
A few weeks ago, a flickr friend asked if there was any chance I could
take some wheat field shots... Well, yes there was, if I was to take
time to go chase wheat fields.
There are some people probably thinking I live in a rural area, but my city is quite a bit big. I have to hit the road to find the fields and for someone who doesn't have a car, it becomes a little less easy. Not a big problem though.
So I set out to take some landscape shots two weeks ago and you'll be seeing some photos in the coming days :)
In this photo, if you will notice, there is a brownish/pinkish
coloration in the horizon. That is dust. We have had the coldest
winter this year a few weeks ago, and now we have the driest late
winter in the last 20 years. Four days ago we were literally walking
through a wall of dust. Very painful for the eyes, nose and throat.
The entire country is suffering with an average of 15% air humidity.
Thanks to the clearing of land with fiiiire. Way to go people! An
entire country suffering due to the reckless mind of a few.
Not to mention the wildlife lost in the process. Oh, how I love ignorant people...
On a happier note, I have posted something on my blog today, about a little something from yesterday :)
