A further addition to my 1 - to - 100 set with a rather different plaque with the house number spelt out rather than appearing as a numeral. Airborne pollution has taken it's toll on what would once have been a rather smart plaque.
The rationale for the set is explained here.

I quite like the weathered look - it seems to match the stonework behind and looks like it's seen quite a few frosty mornings!

I agree, pollution may have caused the damage to this lovely plaque, verdigris colouration is a natural occurance with copper products. Regardless, this is a great additon to your set.
If the owner wanted to bring back its lustrous shine, there are good cleaning and polishing compounds available. All it would take is some dedicated time and muscle rubbing away the corrosive covering and once cleaned, a sincere desire to maintain it.

Thanks for stopping by and for your input Paul. It's really a shame it got into this state, as you say a little work and effort would soon restore the shine.

This is great. I hope you can find more of these. Beautifully framed / composed. Unusual color. Could be uniquely useful as a stock shot.

Thanks for your interest McKenzie, I will get all 100 numbers in a different design and a few bonus numbers too although it may take time, hopefully all from the streets of Lincoln which was my original intention.

Thanks David, I suspect it's quite old (well relatively), pity it's not had a regular clean, there are some nice properties along this stretch of road.
