Licorne 3

This is the third picture of a series of the Licorne thermonuclear test in French Polynesia.

This is a scan of a (digitally restored) hardcopy of a picture taken by the French army which could be purchased in Tahiti at that time.

ça serait pas mal aussi de les publier sur Panoranio
      www.panoramio.com/
cela permettrait de documenter sur google earth et google maps les lieux de ces essais

It looks almost like a jellyfish. Such beautiful islands, such devastating explosions.

Incredible images, in any way imaginable.

      Beautiful, yet totally destructive.

One of the greatest technological achievements, but an achievement to be really and truly sorry for.

The idea that any living being ever saw this magnificent phenomenon is really indicating something is very wrong with the world we live in.

      Dualistic in any sense!

I've been in french polynesia and it truly was the most beatful place i ever visited. I spoke to the locals and all rejected this "nuclear tests". These fucking frogs trying their weapons... they bring out my worst side i hate them so much go ruin your fucking country you french scum. Giving a statue to the states and ruining these paradises. Only french things I admire are early Daft Punk and late Justice. I can't believe how people call this disgusting mushroom something beautiful it's just "high def" (although the picture is so small it can't even be used as a wallpaper). I prefer watching porn or art other than this vomit of under-developed french minds trash which makes me sick. Go on frogs fight wars try your shit and get wasted no one gives a fuck.

The Americans did the same in their own country. Here is the list of number of nuclear tests performed per country: USA: 1 050 USSR: 715 France: 210 China: 45 England: 45 Don't blame it on the French, don't blame it on any people. Just a few people are responsible for nuclear tests, not their citizens. Thanks.

(Blendfold) You are an ignorant hack. Why do you hold many responsible for the actions of the few? Should I say that all 300 million Americans are responsible for the bombings of Hiroshima & Nagasaki? Nope. So why should you do the same for the French?
