Palms Up

I was going for a primordial feel in an etching sort of way for these palms in the oasis of Furnace Creek in Death Valley.

I seem to be on a b/w kick. Perhaps a balance to my color whore ways.

Hula Fire

Another image from the first photowalk of 2012 on New Year's Day. Steel wool fire rings at Rodeo Beach below the Marin Headlands northwest of the Golden Gate Bridge. Organized thru a Google+ photowalk circle.

How? Steel wool. Egg whisk. Rope. 9v battery. Safe place with nothing to burn anywhere near. Steel wool in egg whisk attached to secure rope. Touch both terminals of battery at same time to cause a short and therefore fire. Twirl.
