When seeing this scene on a jaunt with Claude, it reminded me of Escher's Three Worlds. But without the fish and the trees. And the water.

It looked cool enough for us to deviate from our intended path and take a few snaps. In hindsight, I probably should've opted for a larger depth of field.

Taken on a recent jaunt through town with good friend and fellow camera nerd, Claude. As the title suggests, we hadn't jaunted for ages. When we catch up, we tend to just sit at our usual haunt, drink coffee, ask each other if we've bought any new toys, rage against the mediocrity in the world, and show off any new camera pr0n we've acquired. Occasionally we entertain the thought of actually getting off our fat arses and taking some photos, but the coffee's been quite good lately.

Anyway, this particular evening we met up with the sole intention of shooting some stuff. Which we actually did.

Bought a bunch of disposable waterproof cameras from my local supermarket a few weeks ago (they were clearing them out at less than half price -- yes, I bought the lot), and had my first opportunity on the weekend to see how good or shit they were. Well, the results are very mixed. The good is awesome, the shit is, well, shit. Still, they're a bunch of fun.
