• Excellent tree - Jack Riveorput
  • I still can't believe that is actually Lego. - Stormbringer.
  • How is this lego? Incredible! - ~Ghost Soldier~
  • Amazing! - Cmorgenweck
  • Black cheese slopes. :) - Lazer Blade
  • actually, it's 2x2 tiles, some half pushed, with occasional grills. In the middle section they are diver flippers.
  • Half pushed. Genius. - sqiddster
  • exactly right, half pushed. For the main roof, I didn't have to worry about the sides meeting up so I have actual tile over tile for stronger effect
  • With half pushed, don't you have to be extra careful? ;) - Lazer Blade

Oh snap! I thought at first that this was a non-Lego pic. I must confess that I am flabbergasted!
This doesn't even look Lego from a distance. Everything is beyond detail here, and still blows my mind.

Wow, it looks so real with the black and white colors. This is even better than your last MOC, which is still the best creation ever.

Stunning. Honestly, I didn't believe it was Lego. Even after looking at it for a while. Only after careful study did I believe you :)

    Awesome work.

It's the subtleties and detailing that make this MOC stand out: the charred area above the second story window (remnants of a fire?), the weathered paint that's peeling away, the individual roofing and siding tiles that have lost hold over the years and hang askew. And that's just the house - the landscaping requires a separate appreciative look for parts use and its sublime non-rectilinear form. Lots of talent on display here.

One hears "this didn't look like Lego from the thumbnail" sometimes, but "this didn't look like Lego, even up close" is somewhat less frequent. Amazing work!

Masterpiece is an inadequate word to describe what you have created here.

  30. nolnet (28 months ago | reply)

Oh boy. I could stare at this for hours and still find new exciting details. And that's exactly what I'm going to do. Never mind it's sheer huge-ness, the visual appeal of this is just mind-blowing.
