A formiga...
A formiga...
Outro dia, vi uma formiga que carregava uma enorme folha.
A formiga era pequena e a folha devia ter, no mínimo, dez vezes o
tamanho dela.
A formiga a carregava com sacrifício.
Ora a arrastava, ora tinha sobre a cabeça.
Quando o vento batia, a folha tombava, fazendo cair também à formiga.
Foram muitos os tropeços, mas nem por isso a formiga desanimou de sua
tarefa.
Eu a observei e acompanhei, até que chegou próximo de um buraco, que
devia ser a porta de sua casa.
Foi quando pensei: "Até que enfim ela terminou seu
empreendimento".
Na verdade, havia apenas terminado uma etapa.
A folha era muito maior do que a boca do buraco, o que fez com que a
formiga a deixasse do lado de fora para, então entrar sozinha.
Foi aí que disse a mim mesmo: "Coitada, tanto sacrifício para
nada.”.
Lembrei-me ainda do ditado popular: "Nadou, nadou e morreu na
praia.”.
Mas a pequena formiga me surpreendeu.
Do buraco saiu outras formigas, que começaram a corta a folha em
pequenos pedaços.
Elas pareciam alegres na tarefa.
Em pouco tempo, a grande folha havia desaparecido, dando lugar a
pequenos pedaços e eles estavam todos dentro do buraco.
Imediatamente me peguei pensando em minhas experiências.
Quantas vezes desanimei diante do tamanho das tarefas ou dificuldades?
Talvez, se a formiga tivesse olhado para o tamanho da folha, nem mesmo
teria começado a carregá-la.
Invejei a força daquela formiguinha
Naturalmente, transformei minha reflexão em oração e pedi ao Senhor:
Que me desse à tenacidade daquela formiga, para "carregar"
as dificuldades do dia-a-dia.
Que me desse à perseverança da formiga, para não desanimar diante das
quedas.
Que eu pudesse ter a inteligência, a esperteza dela, para dividir em
pedaços o fardo que, às vezes, se apresenta grande demais.
Que eu tivesse a humildade para partilhar com os outros o êxito da
chegada, mesmo que o trajeto tivesse sido solitário.
Pedi ao Senhor a graça de, como aquela formiga, não desistir da
caminhada, mesmo quando os ventos contrários me fazem virar de cabeça
para baixo; mesmo quando, pelo tamanho da carga, não consigo ver com
nitidez o caminho a percorrer.
A alegria dos filhotes que, provavelmente, esperavam lá dentro pelo
alimento, fez aquela formiga esquecer e superar todas as adversidades
da estrada.
Após meu encontro com aquela formiga, saí mais fortalecido em minha
caminhada.
