Bead tray used for type storage
Until my custom type cabinets are completed, I'm storing a lot of my type and spacing in these plastic bead trays. I got them at a craft store. They're especially nice because the compartments are curved, making it easier to remove the type. They're normally $7 but they go on sale for $3.50. None of my fonts is very big, so I get an entire font in one case by sorting them alphabetically, mixing upper- and lowercase letters in the same compartment and also mixing some of the sparse letters like X and Z . I use 24 compartments for the letters, three for the numbers, and the rest for punctuation and symbols.
