Western Style

Western Style

Out at the fair last week this old saddle gave me nice memories. I always rode Western as a child . Florida’s interior has been big cattle country since the 1800s and remains so today. Florida’s horseback herdsmen are known as “cracker cowhunters,” named after their expert use of a whip. Native Florida people are often called "Crackers"

Me and the Turtle Tank

Me and the Turtle Tank

Very busy and exciting time for me. My first installation is going on at John D MacArthur Beach State Park on Singer Island Fl. I created two large pieces of art of Loggerheads and reef that are being wrapped on each end of the new viewing tank. I was so happy all went well. The young turtle, photo on the right, will be staying in the tank as part of the Nature Centers preservation program.
