the giant and the dwarf

part of the immense Pawling Sycamore, which is 300 years old. It breathed when I touched it. It almost swallows the springhouse behind it, which is where the family moved when the nearby mansion burned down. The lower branches grew downward from their weight, touched the ground and then grew up from there.

part of the immense Pawling Sycamore, which is 300 years old. It breathed when I touched it. It almost swallows the springhouse behind it, which is where the Bouleward family moved when the nearby mansion burned down. The branches grew downward, touched the ground, rooted and then grew up from there.
